初、是正鉢，謂量是三斗已下，斗半已上，體是瓦鐵，色唯熏治者，是如法器。

First, the proper pātra: that is, one with a capacity of three dou or less and one and a half dou or more, made of clay or iron, and colored solely by being smoked—this is a vessel in accordance with the Dharma.
