余曰：「常見此國以殺戮為功。每願若死，生龍鬼中，有大勢力，令其不殺，如何此神還縱其殺者？」

I said: "One often sees that in that country they take slaughter as meritorious. I have always vowed that if I die, I would be born among nāgas and ghosts with great power to make them cease killing; why do these spirits on the contrary still indulge them in killing?"
