答曰：「同名六人，此曰小目連，非大目連也。至宇文周時，文殊師利化為梵僧，來遊此土，云：『欲禮拜迦葉佛說法處，并往文殊所住之處，名清涼山。』遍問道俗，無有知者。

He replied, "There were six people sharing this name; this was the Lesser Maudgalyāyana, not the Great Maudgalyāyana. In the time of the Yuwen Zhou dynasty, Mañjuśrī manifested as an Indian monk and came wandering to this land, saying, 'I wish to pay homage at the site where Kāśyapa Buddha preached the Dharma, and also to go to the abode of Mañjuśrī, Mount Qingliang.' He asked both monastics and laity everywhere, but none knew of it.
