韶曰：「何得有隱？」索紙筆著《死生篇》，其詞曰：「運精氣兮離故形，神𦕈𦕈兮爽玄冥，歸北帝兮造酆京。崇墉欝兮廓崢嶸，升鳳闕兮謁帝庭。邇卜商兮室顏生，親大聖兮項良成，希吳季兮慕嬰明。抗清論兮風英英，敷華藻兮文璨榮。庶擢身兮登崑瀛，受祚福兮享千齡。」

Shao said, "How could I conceal anything?" Asking for paper and brush, he wrote the 'Chapter on Death and Life', the words of which said: 'Mobilizing the refined pneumas, ah, I departed from the former form; / The spirit is vast and distant, ah, clear and bright in the mysterious darkness; / Returning to the Northern Emperor, ah, I went to the Feng Capital. / Towering ramparts are dense and lush, ah, vast and precipitous; / Ascending the Phoenix Portal, ah, I had audience at the Imperial Court. / Drawing near to Bu Shang, ah, sharing a chamber with Master Yan; / Becoming intimate with the Great Sage, ah, bringing Xiang Liang to fruition; / Hoping to equal Ji of Wu, ah, admiring Yingming. / Lifting up pure discourse, ah, the breeze is magnificent and fine; / Spreading flowery elegance, ah, the literary patterns are glittering and resplendent. / I hope to raise my body, ah, to scale Kunlun and Yingzhou; / Receiving blessings and good fortune, ah, to enjoy a thousand years.'
