又問：「此土常傳，佛是殷時、周昭、魯莊等。互說不同，如何定指？」
He also asked, "In this land it is commonly transmitted that the Buddha was [born in] the time of the Yin, under King Zhao of Zhou, or under Duke Zhuang of Lu, and so forth. Since the accounts differ from one another, how can it be definitively determined?"
