東門之西，其中渠流交過，通徹清潔。復廣觀毘，傾仰忘告勞疲。南面東門，如上三重直北跨橋，有烏頭門，五道亘入，又至五門，方達中街。

West of the eastern gate, canals and streams intersect, running through cleanly. Looking broadly again, one looks up in admiration and forgets fatigue. The eastern gate on the southern face, with three tiers as above, spans a bridge straight to the north, where there is a black-topped gate, with five paths extending inward, and arriving further at five gates, one only then reaches the central street.
