二院之北有一大院，即於此大院更分為四院。初西南畔一院，名魔王施物之院。門向東開。魔天初下，先且入此院中。內有一鐘，七楞七角，摩尼寶作，受三十萬㪶。人天大集祇洹之時，馬星比丘令喜見魔子擊鐘，聲聞大千界。魔王聞之，即領八百億魔天子下，又有百億魔王，亦同時至，擎寶獻佛。地獄者皆即離苦。此鐘器是星宿劫前古佛所作，佛去世後龍收入海。

North of the two compounds is a great compound, which within this great compound is further divided into four compounds. First, one compound on the southwestern side is named the Compound of Māra's Bestowal of Goods. Its gate opens to the east. When Māra first descends, he first enters this compound. Inside is a bell with seven ridges and seven corners, made of maṇi jewels, holding three hundred thousand hu. When humans and devas gather in great numbers at the Jetavana, the bhikṣu Aśvajit causes the demon son Priyadarśana to strike the bell, its sound heard throughout the great-thousand world. When Māra hears it, he leads eight hundred billion sons of Māra to descend, and there are also one hundred billion māra kings arriving simultaneously, holding jewels to offer to the Buddha. Those in the hells all immediately leave suffering. This bell vessel was made by an ancient Buddha before the Constellation Kalpa; after the Buddha passed away, a nāga collected it into the sea.
