1.31

願救我苦厄，大悲覆一切，普放淨光明，
滅除癡暗瞑。念我及一切，方嬰地獄苦，
必來至我所，施令得安樂。我今稽首禮，
聞名救厄者，我今共歸依，世間慈悲父。

We pray that you rescue us from our suffering and distress; / Great compassion covers all. / Everywhere emit pure radiance / To eradicate the darkness of folly.
Be mindful of me and of all, / Just now beset by the torments of hell; / You must surely come to where I am, / Bestowing the attainment of peace and joy.
I now bow my head in worship / To those who hear names and rescue from distress; / Together I now take refuge / In the Compassionate Father of the world.
