3.42

（某甲）等今日承佛力法力諸菩薩力，為其稽顙求哀懺悔。若已受苦者，以佛菩薩大慈悲力令即解脫；未受苦者，從今日去至于道場，畢竟不復墮於惡趣。離八難苦、受八福生，得諸善根、成就平等，具足智慧、清淨自在，同與如來俱登正覺。

Relying today on the power of the Buddha, the power of the Dharma, and the power of the bodhisattvas, we, [so-and-so], bow our heads to the ground on their behalf, seeking mercy and repenting. If there are those who are already suffering torment, may the power of great compassion and loving-kindness of the Buddhas and bodhisattvas cause them to be liberated immediately; if there are those who have not yet suffered torment, may they, from this day forth until reaching the bodhimaṇḍa, ultimately never fall into the evil destinies again. May they leave behind the suffering of the eight difficulties, take birth endowed with the eight blessings, attain all wholesome roots, achieve impartiality, become complete in wisdom, be pure and at ease, and together with the Tathāgatas ascend to samyaksambodhi.
