今日道場同業大眾！諸天諸仙一切善神，於諸眾生有無量不可思議恩德，願諸眾生長保安樂，慇勤守護唯善是從。何以知然？佛勅：

Today, members of the assembly sharing this karmic endeavor in the bodhimaṇḍa! All devas, all immortals, and all good spirits possess immeasurable, inconceivable kindness and virtue toward all sentient beings; they vow that all sentient beings may long preserve peace and bliss, diligently guarding them and following only what is good. How do we know this to be so? The Buddha commanded:
