We, [so-and-so] and others, once again with profound distress prostrate with our five limbs touching the ground. Furthermore, since beginningless time down to the present day, with a mind of covetous attachment we have stirred up the six consciousnesses and, following along with the six sense objects, have produced manifold sins, whether arising in relation to sentient beings or in relation to non-sentient beings, whether arising in relation to uncorrupted persons or in relation to uncorrupted teachings. Sins and evils produced by covetousness and anger such as these, today we repent, praying to eradicate and extinguish them. Moreover, with a mind of delusion we have engaged in inverted actions, believing in false teachers, receiving false teachings, clinging to annihilation and clinging to permanence, clinging to a self and clinging to views, following the course of delusion and giving rise to limitless sins. Causes and conditions such as these obstruct the bodhicitta, obstruct the vows of bodhi, and obstruct the practices of bodhi; today we repent, praying to eradicate and extinguish them.
