Now, the preceding eliminations of error were: first, eliminating in terms of the truth of suffering according to rising and sinking in the mundane world; next, eliminating in terms of the four truths according to crooked, clumsy, shallow, and narrow wisdom; next, in terms of the four universal vows and practices; next, in terms of the stages of the six identities, becoming progressively deeper and more subtle, only then revealing what is correct. Thus we know that the brilliant moon-pearl lies within the nine-fold abyss beneath the black dragon's chin; only one with resolve and virtue can obtain it. How could it be like worldly people who, in their coarse, shallow, and frivolous superficiality, vie to grasp tiles, stones, grass, and wood, falsely calling them treasures? Latter-day students who receive things superficially are utterly ignorant!
