更引論「五復次」：一、明菩薩種種行故說《般若波羅蜜經》；二、令菩薩增念佛三昧故；三、說跋致相貌故；四、拔弟子惡邪故；五、說第一義故說《般若波羅蜜經》。此五復次與四隨、四悉皆不異，又與五因緣同。

Further citing the treatise's 'five recurring reasons': first, to clarify the various practices of bodhisattvas, the Prajñāpāramitā-sūtra was spoken; second, to cause bodhisattvas to increase their mindfulness-of-Buddha samādhi; third, to explain the characteristics of an avaivartika; fourth, to uproot disciples' evil views; fifth, to explain the supreme truth, the Prajñāpāramitā-sūtra was spoken. These five recurring reasons are not different from the four conformities and four siddhāntas, and are also identical with the five causes and conditions.
