1.77

又五略秖是十廣，初五章秖是發菩提心一意耳；方便、正觀秖是四三昧耳；果報一章秖明違順，違即二邊果報，順即勝妙果報；起教一章轉其自心利益於他，或作佛身，施權實，或作九界像，對揚漸頓、轉漸頓、弘通漸頓；旨歸章秖是同歸大處祕密藏中。故知略廣意同也。

Furthermore, the five concise [sections] are simply the ten extensive [chapters]. The initial five chapters are simply the single meaning of giving rise to the bodhicitta; skillful means and correct contemplation are simply the four samādhis; the single chapter on retribution simply clarifies compliance and adversity—adversity being the retributions of the two extremes, and compliance being the superior and wondrous retribution; the single chapter on originating teachings turns one's own mind to benefit others, either manifesting the body of a Buddha to dispense the expedient and the real, or manifesting the likeness of the nine realms to explain, turn, and propagate the gradual and the sudden; the chapter on the ultimate destination is simply returning together to the great locus within the secret treasury. Therefore one knows that the concise and the extensive have the same meaning.
