Fifth, returning to the great abode: because all dharmas are ultimately empty, this calming and contemplation is taught. Now, glued hands are easily caught, and a sleepwalker's dream is hard to awaken from; being confined to the letter while matching their own thoughts, people presume themselves to be correct, eagerly grasping tiles and gravel and taking them for lapis lazuli gems. If they still fail to recognize near matters and explicit words, how could they not be confused by the profound principle and esoteric teachings? For this reason, the ultimate destination (zhigui) must be discussed.
