○二、絕待明止觀者，即破前三相待止觀也。先橫破，次竪破。

Second, as for clarifying calming and contemplation as absolute: this refutes the preceding three relative kinds of calming and contemplation. First it refutes them horizontally, and next it refutes them vertically.
