4.76

次、懺見罪者，以見惑故，順生死流，如前所說。向運十心附事為懺，懺鈍使罪；今扶理懺見，懺利使罪。然見心猛盛，起重煩惱，應傍用事助。如服下藥，須加巴豆，令黈瀉盡底。是故還約十法以明懺見。

Next, repenting transgressions of views: because of the delusions of view, one follows the stream of birth and death, as explained before. Previously, one mobilized the ten mindsets based on phenomena for repentance, repenting transgressions of dull proclivities; now, relying on principle, one repents views, repenting transgressions of sharp proclivities. However, the mind of views is fierce and vigorous, giving rise to heavy afflictions; one should supplement it with phenomena on the side. Just as in taking a purgative, croton seed must be added to flush out [the impurity] thoroughly to the very bottom. Therefore, we still rely on the ten methods to elucidate repenting views.
