If one can [discern] like this, one knows worldly cause and effect and further recognizes supramundane cause and effect. Therefore the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā says: 'Prajñā can demonstrate worldly characteristics.' That is, demonstrating 'what is the path' and 'what is not the path'; this is to deeply recognize the suffering and origination of the mind of views. What is still deeper: not only knowing the suffering and origination of ignorance, but also recognizing the cause and effect of the Tripiṭaka [teaching], and also recognizing that phenomena produced by causes and conditions are empty—the cause and effect of the four noble truths [of the shared teaching]. What is even deeper: also knowing that causes and conditions are provisional—the cause and effect of the immeasurable four noble truths [of the distinctive teaching]. What is yet deeper: also knowing that causes and conditions are the middle—the cause and effect of the unconditioned four noble truths [of the perfect teaching]. Within a single mind of views, one completely recognizes all causes and effects. Therefore the Mahāparinirvāṇa-sūtra says: 'In a single thought-moment one can weigh immeasurable birth and death; this is called inconceivable.' Therefore it is called deep faith, shattering lack of faith.
