六、發菩提心者，即是緣三諦理，皆如虛空；空則無邊，愍傷一切，普令度脫。昔迷此起惑有無邊故，罪亦無邊。今菩提心遍於法界，起無作善，亦遍法界，翻破昔遍空無作惡也。奏師子琴，餘絃斷絕，即此義也。

Sixth, generating the bodhimind: that is, taking the principle of the three truths as object, which is entirely like empty space; because emptiness is boundless, one feels compassion for all and brings all to liberation. Formerly, deluded about this, the arising of delusions was boundless, so transgressions were also boundless. Now the bodhimind pervades the dharmadhātu, and the arising of unconditioned good also pervades the dharmadhātu, overturning and shattering the former unconditioned evil that pervaded space. When the lion lute is played, the other strings snap; this is precisely the meaning.
