Answer: When a practitioner of the shared [teaching] steps forth or enters, he cannot be identical with the middle; when a practitioner of the distinctive [teaching] steps forth or enters in sequence, he cannot do so in a single thought-moment. A practitioner of the perfect [teaching] steps forth and enters in a single thought-moment, yet can also step forth and enter distinctly—namely: entering the middle more and the two less, or entering the two more and the middle less; entering emptiness and the middle more and the provisional less, or entering the provisional more and emptiness and the middle less; entering the provisional and the middle more and emptiness less, or entering emptiness more and the provisional and the middle less. Although there are distinct increases and decreases, none of the three truths is lacking.
