答：借義相成，或借高成下，故言八地；或借下成高，故言初住。《瓔珞》明別教，故言初地。

Answer: By borrowing meanings to complete each other: either borrowing the higher to complete the lower, hence speaking of the eighth bhūmi; or borrowing the lower to complete the higher, hence speaking of the first abode. The Yingluo jing explains the distinctive teaching, hence it speaks of the first bhūmi.
