7.148

今明別位，四門異說，種種不同。雖阡陌經緯，其致一也。此方雖未有多論，而前四門推之。若通教說種種位，知其同是真諦；別教說種種位，知其同是中道。經言：「雖說種種道，其實為一乘」；「其所說法，皆悉到於一切智地」。得此意者，狐疑易息，鬪諍不生。上破思假中已略說諸位，若欲知者往彼尋看（云云）。

Now, in clarifying the stages of the distinctive teaching, the four gates have different explanations and varied distinctions. Although they are crisscrossed like paths and boundaries, warp and weft, their essential import is one. Although there are not yet many treatises in this land, infer them from the preceding four gates. If the shared teaching explains varied stages, know that they are identically the truth of emptiness; if the distinctive teaching explains varied stages, know that they are identically the middle way. A sūtra says: "Although various paths are spoken of, in truth they are the One Vehicle"; and "The dharmas preached by them all reach the ground of omniscience." For those who grasp this intention, fox-like doubts are easily stilled, and disputes do not arise. The various stages have already been briefly explained above under the refutation of the provisionality of thought; if one wishes to know them, go there and examine them (and so on).
