三、經論矛盾，言義相乖，不可以情通，不可以博解。古來執諍連代不消；若得四悉檀意，則結滯開融，懷抱瑣析，拔擲自在，不惑此疑彼也。

Third, the scriptures and treatises may contain contradictions, with words and meanings mutually discordant, which cannot be harmonized through sentiment or resolved through broad learning. Since ancient times, stubborn disputes have persisted generation after generation without vanishing. If one grasps the meaning of the four siddhāntas, knots and stagnation will open and dissolve, complex matters in mind will be finely parsed, and one will discard or employ them with freedom, without being deluded by this or doubting that.
