今明五百由旬者，一、約生死處所，謂三界果報為三百，方便有餘土、實報無礙土是為五百由旬處所；次、約煩惱者，所謂見諦惑為一百，五下分為二百，五上分為三百，塵沙為四百，無明為五百；次、約觀智者，空觀智知三百，假觀智知四百，中觀智知五百。此與文會，無前諸師過也。

Now, in explaining the five hundred yojanas: first, in terms of locations of birth-and-death, the retributions of the three realms constitute three hundred, and the land of expedient remainder and the land of true reward without obstruction constitute the locations of five hundred yojanas. Next, in terms of afflictions: the delusions of the view of the truths constitute one hundred, the five lower bonds constitute two hundred, the five upper bonds constitute three hundred, [delusions like] dust and sand constitute four hundred, and avidyā constitutes five hundred. Next, in terms of the wisdom of contemplation: the wisdom of the contemplation of emptiness knows the three hundred, the wisdom of the contemplation of provisionality knows the four hundred, and the wisdom of the contemplation of the middle knows the five hundred. This accords with the text and is free from the errors of the previous masters.
