8.170

識通塞者：於業、非業、亦業亦非業、非業非非業，句句之中明識苦集；一一心內了知道滅。審的成就，終不蟲字，故言「識通塞」也。

As for recognizing the open and blocked: within every single proposition—karma, non-karma, both karma and non-karma, and neither karma nor non-karma—one clearly recognizes suffering and its accumulation; within each and every mind, one clearly knows cessation and the path. Accurately and certainly accomplished, it never resembles worm-eaten characters; hence it is said, 'recognizing the open and blocked.'
