9.46

此十六法，橫竪對治法，節節皆異。根本闇證功德則薄，如食無鹽；特勝功德則重，如食有鹽。委論發相具如《修證》中（云云）。

These sixteen dharmas, as antidotes both horizontal and vertical, are distinct at every stage. In the dark realizations of the fundamental, merit is thin, like food without salt; in the extraordinary, merit is weighty, like food with salt. The detailed discussion of their manifest characteristics is fully as stated in the Xiuzheng (and so on).
