9.55

若不壞法人九想者：從初脹想來住骨想，不進燒想，得有流光、背捨、勝處、觀、練、薰、修、神通變化，一切功德具足，成俱解脫人也。若修時，愛多，觀外；見多，觀身；見、愛等，內外觀。若發時，準此可知。

As for the nine contemplations of a person of non-destructive disposition: proceeding from the initial contemplation of bloating, one abides in the contemplation of the skeleton and does not advance to the contemplation of burning; one thereby obtains radiating light, the liberations, the stations of mastery, the contemplations, the refinings, the perfumings, the cultivations, and supernormal powers and transformations, being replete with all meritorious virtues and becoming a person doubly liberated. When cultivating, if craving is predominant, one contemplates the external; if views are predominant, one contemplates the body; if views and craving are equal, one contemplates both internally and externally. When the manifestation occurs, it may be understood in accordance with this.
