答：此亦無妨，如雖見不淨，不妨又見淨人端正衣裳。雖生慈定，不妨不淨。慈定亦能莊嚴背捨等，使功德倍深，勝單發不淨；或互相發（云云）。

Answer: There is no contradiction in this. Just as seeing impurity does not prevent one from also seeing a pure person in well-dressed clothing, so too giving rise to the concentration of loving-kindness does not prevent impurity. The concentration of loving-kindness can also adorn the liberations and the like, causing their merit to be doubly deep, superior to merely giving rise to impurity alone; or they may mutually give rise to each other (and so forth).
