Now I shall further explain the ultimate import in general and specific [terms]. The Buddhas appear in the world for the sake of the one great causal condition, manifesting various forms so as to cause all sentient beings together to see the dharmakāya; having seen the dharmakāya, the Buddha and sentient beings together return to the dharmakāya. Furthermore, the Buddhas preach various teachings so as to cause all sentient beings to consummate the Tathāgata's sarvākārajñatā; once sarvākārajñatā is complete, the Buddha and sentient beings together return to prajñā. Furthermore, the Buddhas manifest various skillful means, spiritual superknowledges, and transformations to liberate them from all bonds, not allowing a single person to attain extinction alone, but delivering them all to extinction by means of the Tathāgata's extinction; once delivered to extinction, the Buddha and sentient beings together return to vimokṣa. The Great Sūtra says: 'I establish all my sons within the secret storehouse, and I myself before long shall also abide within it.' This is called the 'general aspect of the ultimate import.'
