If one maintains that prajñā is merely prajñā, it is not prajñā. One should know that prajñā is also knowing, non-knowing, and neither knowing nor non-knowing. The prajñā of the wisdom of the paths universally knows the conventional; therefore it is called 'knowing'. Once its work is completed, it returns to vimokṣa. The prajñā of all-knowledge universally knows the real; therefore it is called 'non-knowing'. Once its work is completed, it returns to prajñā. The prajñā of sarvākārajñatā universally knows the middle; therefore it is called 'neither knowing nor non-knowing'. Once its work is completed, it returns to the dharmakāya. Comprehending that the three prajñās have no mark of oneness or difference is called 'returning'; expounding that the three prajñās have no mark of oneness or difference is called the 'intent'. Entering the secret storehouse together, it is therefore called the 'ultimate import'.
