Like a pratyekabuddha whose sharp wisdom and roots of goodness are mature, appearing in a world without a Buddha, naturally attaining awakening: bursting forth through principle is also like this—having planted roots of goodness long ago, even though one does not hear the perfect teaching in this life, the poison of the illuminating cause bursts forth naturally of itself; this is bursting forth through principle. If upon hearing the Avataṃsaka, as the sun illuminates the high mountains, one immediately attains awakening, this is bursting forth through teaching. Having heard it, one reflects upon it, and upon reflecting one immediately awakens: this is bursting forth through contemplation and practice. If at the stage of purity of the six faculties one advances to break avidyā, this is bursting forth through similitude realization. If one further increases the path and diminishes rebirths, this is also bursting forth through realization. This discusses the indeterminateness of entry in terms of the perfect family.
