What is called the 'two truths': contemplating the provisional is the vehicle for entering emptiness; emptiness is understood by means of the vehicle; discussing the means and the object together, it is called the 'contemplation of the two truths'. Furthermore, on the day one realizes emptiness, one not only sees emptiness, but also recognizes the provisional. Just as when clouds are removed and obstacles parted, above is displayed and below is clear. Through the manifestation of the true and the provisional, one obtains this contemplation of the two truths. Now, understanding the true by way of the provisional, why would it not be the contemplation of the two truths?
