Grouping the first three kinds of precepts together, they are called 'precepts of restraint'. Holding to the good and guarding against evil, from the initial root up to the unpierced, completely pure down to the finest hair, they are collectively named the precepts of restraint. Ordinary persons with scattered minds are all able to uphold this precept.
