If one contemplates the dharmas arisen from causes and conditions among the two aggregates of perception and volition in the dharmatā, one kind is all kinds, and one mental formation is immeasurable mental formations. Because the dharmatā is empty, all mental formations are one mental formation, and one emptiness is all emptiness. Because the dharmatā is provisional, one mental formation is all mental formations, and one provisionality is all provisionality. Because the dharmatā is middle, it is neither one nor all, neither empty nor provisional while simultaneously illuminating emptiness and the provisional, and all is neither empty nor provisional while simultaneously illuminating emptiness and the provisional. The mental formations of the nine dharmadhātus are all identical to emptiness, identical to the provisional, and identical to the middle, and are also like this. This is called the “mindfulness of dharmas” (dharmasmṛtyupasthāna).
