1.58

「他金樂赤兜率白，夜璃忉瑙四王玻，
海上金剛緊那香，諸龍如華修如山，
閻青越金二洲雜，電亦隨感皆不同。
他化日光樂月光，兜閻浮金夜白寶，
忉金四王色最妙，閻青寶色三洲異，
雷震不同復差別。他化梵音樂妙音，
兜妓樂音夜天女，忉緊羅女四天乾，
人中海潮音等別，八部所見各各異，
雨不同相亦差別。他化香華樂瞻蔔，
兜摩尼寶夜幢蓋，忉如意珠四甘膳，
北越瓔珞二瞻蔔，南閻浮提清淨水，
諸龍等見各不同，並譬菩薩自在用。」

"In Paranirmita it is gold, in Nirmāṇarati red, in Tuṣita white;
In Yāma lapis lazuli, in Trāyastriṃśa agate, in the Four Heavenly Kings crystal;
Above the sea diamond, for the kiṃnaras fragrant;
For all dragons like flowers, for the asuras like mountains;
In Jambudvīpa blue, in Kuru gold, in the other two continents mixed;
The lightning also varies, differing according to what evokes it.
In Paranirmita sunlight, in Nirmāṇarati moonlight;
In Tuṣita Jambū river gold, in Yāma white jewels;
In Trāyastriṃśa gold, in the Four Heavenly Kings the color is most wondrous;
In Jambudvīpa blue-gem color, in the three continents distinct;
The thunder claps are not identical, having further differences.
In Paranirmita brahma music, in Nirmāṇarati wondrous music;
In Tuṣita the music of courtesans, in Yāma celestial maidens;
In Trāyastriṃśa kiṃnara maidens, in the Four Heavens gandharvas;
Among humans sea-tide sound and the like, all different;
What the eight classes see each differs,
And the rain's different marks are also distinct.
In Paranirmita fragrant flowers, in Nirmāṇarati campaka;
In Tuṣita maṇi jewels, in Yāma banners and canopies;
In Trāyastriṃśa wish-fulfilling jewels, in the Four Heavens sweet delicacies;
In northern Kuru necklaces, in the other two continents campaka;
In southern Jambudvīpa pure water;
What all the dragons and others see is each different;
All these serve as metaphors for the bodhisattva's unimpeded functioning."
