2.60

「解色及相應，摩刷覆瘡痍，
放煙并茂草，安隱及渡處，
時宜留𤛓餘，將護於大牛。
比丘亦如是，知四大造色，
善別愚智相，摩刷六情根，
善覆十善想，傳所誦為煙，
四意止茂草，十二部安處，
聖八支渡處，莫受輕賤請，
名曰知時宜，知足為留餘，
敬護是將護。」

"He knows the colours and characteristics,
scrapes, brushes, and covers sores,
lits smoke, knows luxuriant grass,
peaceful places, and fording points;
knowing the right times, leaves milk behind,
and protects the lead bulls.
The monk is also like this:
he knows the four great elements that make up form,
skillfully distinguishes foolish and wise marks,
scrapes and brushes the six sense faculties,
skillfully covers thoughts of the ten goods,
transmits what he recites as smoke,
the four stations of mindfulness are the luxuriant grass,
the twelve divisions of scriptures are the peaceful places,
the noble eightfold path is the fording point;
not accepting base invitations
is called knowing the proper times;
contentment is leaving milk behind;
reverent protection is guarding well."
