修禪波羅蜜大意第一（從此盡今一卷，大段有五，並是商略禪波羅蜜，攝一切佛法，靡所不該，欲開發行者起深信樂，歸宗有在。是中悉未論修行入證之相。）

First: The General Purport of Cultivating Dhyāna-pāramitā (From here to the end of this current fascicle, there are five major sections, all of which assess dhyāna-pāramitā, gathering all Buddha-dharmas so that nothing is left out, aiming to inspire practitioners to give rise to deep faith and joy, having a basis for their ultimate orientation. None of the characteristics of entering realization through cultivation are yet discussed here.)
