答曰：諸佛出世，對緣化物，教門多約四句，如《摩訶衍論》中說，有四種悉檀：一、世界悉檀；二、為人悉檀；三、對治悉檀；四、第一義悉檀。初、有漏法心即是世界悉檀攝；二、無漏法心即是對治悉檀攝；三、亦有漏亦無漏法心即是為人悉檀攝；四、非有漏非無漏法心即是第一義悉檀攝。是中相攝之意，細尋可見。

Answer: When the Buddhas appear in the world to transform beings in response to conditions, their teaching gates mostly rely on four propositions. As explained in the *Mahāyāna-saṃgraha-śāstra*, there are four kinds of *siddhānta*: first, the mundane *siddhānta*; second, the individual *siddhānta*; third, the counteractive *siddhānta*; fourth, the ultimate *siddhānta*. First, the defiled dharma-mind is subsumed by the mundane *siddhānta*; second, the undefiled dharma-mind is subsumed by the counteractive *siddhānta*; third, the both defiled and undefiled dharma-mind is subsumed by the individual *siddhānta*; fourth, the neither defiled nor undefiled dharma-mind is subsumed by the ultimate *siddhānta*. The meaning of their mutual subsumption can be seen if carefully investigated.
