就此十種行人，善惡雖殊，縛脫有異，既並無大悲正觀，發心邪僻，皆墮二邊，不趣中道。若住此心修行禪定，終不得與禪波羅蜜法門相應。

Regarding these ten kinds of practitioners, though wholesome and unwholesome differ, and bondage and liberation are distinct, since all lack great compassion and correct contemplation, and resolve their minds in error and deviation, they all fall into the two extremes and do not approach the Middle Way. If one abides in such minds to cultivate dhyāna absorption, one will never correspond with the Dharma gate of dhyāna-pāramitā.
