10.16

第四、明修證。行者欲修八背捨無漏觀行，必須精持五篇諸戒，極令清淨。復當精勤勇猛，大誓莊嚴，心無退沒，及能成辦大事。

Fourth, clarifying cultivation and realization. When a practitioner wishes to cultivate the undefiled meditative practice of the eight liberations, they must strictly observe all the precepts of the five categories, making them utterly pure. Furthermore, they must be diligent and heroic, adorned with a great vow, their mind neither retreating nor sinking; only then can they accomplish this great matter.
