10.38

二者、若修八背捨時，是人厭離生死，欲速得解脫，是時遍修緣諦真觀等，即於八背捨中發真無漏，證三乘道，亦名具足八解脫也。當知此人未必具下五種法門。

Second, when cultivating the eight liberations, if this person intensely revulses against birth-and-death and desires to quickly attain liberation, they then extensively cultivate true contemplation conditioned by the [Four Noble] Truths and the like. Thereupon, right within the eight liberations, true undefiledness arises, and they realize the paths of the three vehicles; this is also termed being complete in the eight liberations. One should know that this person does not necessarily possess the lower five kinds of Dharma gates.
