答曰：是中應作四句料揀：一者、因強而緣弱；二者、因弱而緣強；三者、因緣俱強；四者、因緣俱弱。

Answer: Here four alternatives should be distinguished: first, where the cause is strong but the condition is weak; second, where the cause is weak but the condition is strong; third, where both cause and condition are strong; fourth, where both cause and condition are weak.
