4.13

一、外貪欲煩惱發者，若行人當修定時，貪欲心生，若是男子，即緣於女，若是女人，即緣於男子，取其色貌、姿容、威儀、言語，即結使心生，念念不住，即此是外貪婬結使發相。

First, regarding the manifestation of external covetous desire afflictions: When a practitioner is cultivating concentration, a mind of covetous desire arises. If a man, he conditions woman; if a woman, she conditions man. Taking hold of their physical forms, appearance, deportment, and speech, the mind of fetters arises, not resting for a thought-moment. This is precisely the mark of the manifestation of the fetter of external covetous lust.
