第五、明禪次第中，分別修證方法在下自當具說，今明約驗善惡根性，後用安心法。既有如此之便利，故次後而說。

In the fifth [section], explaining the sequence of dhyāna, the methods of cultivation and realization will naturally be explained in full below. Here, what is explained is the method of settling the mind used after examining the nature of good and bad roots. Since it has this kind of expediency, it is explained immediately after.
