1. Explaining the name: as for 'the sphere of non-employment', when cultivating this absorption, one does not employ any internal or external cognitive objects. The external object is called space, and the internal object is called mind; relinquishing these two objects is the cause, and it gets its name from initial cultivation, hence it is called the sphere of non-employment. It is also called the sphere of the slight; it is also called the sphere of nothingness; and it is also called the sphere of non-ideation. These three names are derived from the absorption's essence.
