般若滅一切法而能生一切法，如從初禪來滅憂，乃至非想非非想滅不用處之想，皆是般若中前方便，滅諸法為入空。以其滅諸法故，能生後勝法故，般若能生萬法故，此十二門禪皆般若氣分所攝。

Prajñā extinguishes all phenomena yet can generate all phenomena. Just as extinguishing sorrow from the first dhyāna onward, up to neither-perception-nor-non-perception extinguishing the perception of the base of non-employment, these are all preliminary expedient means within prajñā, extinguishing phenomena in order to enter emptiness. Because it extinguishes phenomena, it can generate subsequent superior phenomena; and because prajñā can generate the myriad phenomena, these twelve doors of dhyāna are all subsumed under the sphere of prajñā.
