8.56

答曰：如《淨名經》說：「不捨八邪而入八正。」亦云：「六十二見是如來種。」此言何謂？如是等義，皆出《提謂經》，明非人所作。若於此義不了，在下自當可見。

Answer: As the Vimalakīrti-nirdeśa Sūtra states: 'Without abandoning the eight wrongs, one enters the eightfold correctness.' It also says: 'The sixty-two views are the seeds of the Tathāgata.' What do these words mean? Such meanings as these all derive from the Sūtra of Trapuṣa and Bhallika, showing that they were not fabricated by humans. If one does not comprehend this meaning here, it will naturally become apparent below.
