次明四禪相，經云：「四禪者，亦名為離，亦名為具。離者，謂同離五蓋；具者，具足四支，謂念、捨、不苦不樂、定。」
Next, explaining the characteristics of the fourth dhyāna, the sūtra states: 'The fourth dhyāna is also termed abandonment and possession. Abandonment means equally abandoning the five hindrances; possession means fully possessing four factors, namely mindfulness, equanimity, neither-pain-nor-pleasure, and ekāgratā.'
