Answer: Although the bodhisattva bodily renounces and departs, their mind does not abandon [them]. Just as a sick person takes their body to ingest medicine, temporarily halting business, and once the illness is cured resumes business as before, the bodhisattva is also like this: although bodily relinquishing sentient beings temporarily, their mind constantly has pity; ingesting the medicine of dhyāna-concentration in a secluded and quiet place, obtaining true wisdom, eradicating the disease of afflictions, and giving rise to the six supernormal powers, they return to be reborn in the six destinies and broadly deliver sentient beings. Through such various conditions, when the bodhisattva-mahāsattva resolves to cultivate the dhyāna-pāramitā, their mind is like vajra, which heavenly māras, non-Buddhists, and the followers of the two vehicles cannot ruin or destroy.
