'Furthermore, just as when a person suffers bodily distress from burning heat, if they obtain cool water, the suffering of the fire is immediately extinguished and delight and joy arise. Just as when a person presently suffers from poverty and hardship, and on that account is stingy, greedy, and commits evil; if one gives them precious gems and teaches them to practice giving and perform good, then in the present they will be freed from the degradation of poverty, their body and mind will be elated, and in future lives they will long enjoy peace and happiness.
